The Daily Mini is compact but never trivial. These five habits let you clear every board before your morning coffee cools.
Scan the whole board before answering anything. The Mini has fewer clues than the Daily Theme, which means every answer crosses another. A quick read-through of all clues upfront reveals which answer is the longest — that one should go first because it places the most crossing letters.
Count the tile slots, not your assumptions. Mini answers occasionally land on short, unusual words rather than the expected long ones. Count the blank tiles on the row before committing to a candidate — a three-letter slot can't hold a five-letter answer no matter how right it feels.
Treat a trailing question mark as a wordplay cue. Any Mini clue that ends in "?" is using a pun or lateral connection rather than a direct definition. Re-read it sideways — what other meaning could that phrase carry? — and the answer usually surfaces in one or two tries.
Use crossing letters to confirm, not just to fill. When you have an answer candidate in mind, check which crossing entries share that position. If the crossing letter your candidate would place fits naturally into the crossing clue's answer, it is almost certainly correct. This double-check is faster than requesting a hint.
Compare today's Mini with the Trivia Daily for context. Betta Games occasionally runs Mini and Trivia Daily on related themes on the same date. If a Mini clue involves a topic that stumps you, opening that date's Trivia Daily sometimes gives away the vocabulary — and vice versa.
The order that clears a board fastest.
Letters, tiles or clues — count them before you start. That constraint is the strongest filter you have.
Each confirmed answer narrows the ones it touches, so the easy entries are worth the first minute.
Follow the chain from what you have placed rather than jumping around the board.
Every answer on this page is read from the game's own puzzle data rather than retyped from another site, and is checked against what the board actually provides — so nothing listed can use a letter the level does not give you. The counts shown are computed from the stored data, not typed in by hand.
