About the game

What Word City Is, and How This Archive Works

Word City is a letter-swipe word game. Each level hands you a short pool of letters — often just five or six — and asks you to find every valid word they spell, not merely one. That is the whole difficulty: the pool looks small, but a six-letter tray can hide a dozen answers, and the level will not close until you have them all.

This archive covers the English game in full: 2,430 levels, numbered 1 to 2,430 with no gaps, holding 33,191 words between them. Levels average 14 words each, so most pages here answer more than a dozen entries at once. Every level is listed with its letter pool as well as its words, which matters because the pool is what tells you whether you have missed something — if you have found eight words from six letters and the page lists twelve, you know to keep swiping.

There is also a daily puzzle, archived here across 246 dates from January 1, 2026 onwards. The daily is the same board for every player on a given date, so a dated answer list matches exactly what you are looking at. Word City also ships in other languages, and those are answered here too — Spanish, French, Portuguese, Turkish — for 6,372 levels in total. Levels are fixed and numbered, so the number you see in the app is the number here.

3 Tips for Word City

01

Every answer comes from the same letters

The pool on screen is the whole puzzle. No answer can use a letter it does not show you, so counting the pool first rules out most of what comes to mind.

02

Start with the longest word

Long answers consume the awkward letters and leave a pool that spells the short ones out for you. Starting long is consistently faster than sweeping for three-letter words.

03

Letters repeat, words do not

A letter can be reused within one word, but each answer appears once. If you are one short, look for a longer form of a word you have already played.

How to Solve a Word City Level

The order that clears a Word City board fastest.

STEP 01

Read the letter pool

Count the letters before you swipe. The pool is a hard limit, and knowing it removes most wrong guesses before you make them.

STEP 02

Place the long answers

They use the most letters, so once they are down the remaining answers become much easier to see.

STEP 03

Fill the short slots last

Short words are the easiest to find and the least informative, so leave them until the board has already narrowed.

How we check

Verified Answers, Not Guesses

How we verify this level

The answers on this page are read from the level data itself and checked against the letters the board actually provides, so nothing listed can use a letter the level does not give you.
